The Asics EX89 sneaker combines the legacy of the 1989 GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe with modern cushioning properties. Created by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s, it was his first design project for ASICS. We have updated the cushioning system with our FF BLAST technology.
