Originally, the 78 cards of a tarot deck were carved on thin sheets of ivory, silver or gold and represented a cabalistic alphabet, a means of unlocking the secrets of the universe. Here the tarot was adopted from the 15th century tradition, which originated from the Greeks and Egyptians of the ancient Orient. 90 x 90 cm. Hand rolled hems. Good condition. Condition: Good, but used. A good but used item will have been worn and potentially washed but will be in good condition and well taken care of.
